Omega 2542 with Grey/Black Zone dial from 1947/48

Case: 31 mm (excluding the original crown) all stainless steel. Screw on caseback. Correct unsigned Crown. Caseback has reference number,Omega markings and service markings from October 2020.
Movement: Omega cal 26.5 manual winding was manufactured between 1926 and 1952, from 1949 it was renamed to cal 100. The 26.5 was developed in collaboration with Tissot (cal: 27) and there are great similarities between them. Winding and setting mechanism are identical parts (not setting lever) and is among the works, including crown wheel and ratchet wheel. Movement number 11.348.190 indicates manufacture 1947/48 according to Omegas list of production date from movement numbers.
Bracelet/ Strap: Steel bracelet from ca 1940/50 very nicely matching in both design and wear. 16 mm between lugs. Marked Speidel, USA.
Features: Wonderful Grey/Black dial with white Arabic numerals with no lume, Blue Sword hands hands and white subseconds hand. Outer second markings in steel. Omega letter and OMEGA text as well as Swiss Made in White. Subsecond ring in printed white.
Condition: In overall very good condition. The dial has very slight patina. Acrylic crystal with small scratches. The case is good with usual scratches from wear. Signs of polishing. The movement runs very well & keeps accurate time and was serviced in October 2020.
Note: This watch was photographed with high-intensity flash lighting. Which brings out micro/superficial scratches that will not be as visible under natural lighting.
